All this rain here lately as me like “Where’s the beach? Where’s the sun?”
Of course the beach is not faring any better since the Hurricane Joaquin is heading there way, but at least we can dream about sunny days and beautiful weddings like Courtney and Phil’s Sea Island Wedding.
I was ecstatic when Courtney found me and asked me to be her and Phil’s photographer. I love these North Carolina mountains, but it sure is fun for me to get to the Georgia coast and photograph gorgeous beachy weddings. It also helps when the wedding is at Sea Island. Goodness that place is GORGEOUS!
There are so many things that I loved about this wedding but two of my favorite things were how important family are to Courtney and Phil and how the wedding party all wore white! It was just stunning.
So if you are rain soaked as you view these photos hopefully they will bring you a little warmth and sunshine!
Big shout out to one of my best friends and a fabulous photographer Jen Rodriguez for 2nd shooting.
These moments of getting ready are some of my favorite. There is so much attention to detail and the energy in the room is almost electric. There is so much excitement and also so many nerves. It really is so special and I love being there to photograph those moments. I really love this image where Phil’s mom is praying over Courtney. I am pretty sure I was tearing up.
Beautiful Stuart Weitzman Wedges that Courtney and her sisters wore.
I am pretty sure this Lela Rose dress was made for Courtney! I mean look at that back!
Ok now this where I really begin to LOVE the Georgia Coast and Sea Island. Courtney and Phil chose to do their first look at The Avenue of the Oaks and it made my heart so happy! You just can’t beat those live oaks with the spanish moss dripping down from the branches.
The wedding ceremony and reception were both at The Cloister. The ceremony was in the gardens and the reception was in the beautiful clubroom.
This golden ballroom is speaking my love language. This might be my most favorite ballroom ever.
This grooms cake was awesome and the story behind it even better!
I love seeing the kids all crowd around the cake table. Its probably the most important part of the wedding to them.
